I came across this supplement when I became frustrated with my 6 year old son's dental health. I took him to a conventional dentist and all they had to offer was anesthetics and drilling. I knew something deeper was wrong because my 4 other kids didn't have as much tooth decay as him. I did a lot of research and saw how there was a connection between his teeth and the overall health of his body. He was lacking in some serious nutrients that were causing his body to leech these important nutrients from his teeth. I finally came to the conclusion that FCLO was something I needed to try.
My wife was so excited when I introduced this supplement into our home because she always wanted to find something to give our family that she knew had everything they needed, especially the most the important nutrients, such as Omega 3 fatty acids and very high and bio-available (easily absorbed) forms of vitamin A and D, which she knew we could not get from any one food.
A majority of manufacturers of fish oil supplements much prefer to extract the therapeutic oils from cod livers using heat. It is by far the most efficient way to do it. But this process destroys the naturally occurring vitamin A and D content. They usually re-add the vitamin A and D, which is from a synthetic form, therefore making these vitamins much less bio-availalable and sometimes toxic. As opposed to the fermentation process which takes 6 to 12 months and not only preserves the natural nutrient content but actually makes it much more bio-available to our bodies.
I only mentioned a few benefits of FCLO in the video because otherwise the video would've been too long. FCLO not only is great to help prevent infectious disease, but is also excellent for preventing the array of chronic degenerative diseases that plague our society: depression, cancer, heart-disease, auto-immune disorders etc. Here is an extended listed of the benefits of FCLO:
Promotes healthy cholesterol levels (HDL/LDL ratios), prevents the formation of atherosclerotic plaque, is a systemic anti-inflammatory, reduces symptoms from arthritis (Rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), promotes mental health (prevents degenerative mental diseases), supports tooth and bone health, promotes healthy hormone balance, supports the health of hair, skin, and nails, reduce inflammatory skin conditions (acne, eczema, etc.), helps manage ADHD symptoms, helps manage inflammatory lung conditions (asthma), can help stabilize mood disorders (bi-polar, depression, etc.).
In the video my wife does a demonstration of administering 2 mL (little less than 1/2 a teaspoon) to everyone, which is the bare minimum you would want to give your family daily. Here are the dosages I would recommend:
Children age 3 months to 12 years: 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon
Children over 12 years and adults: 1/2 – 1 teaspoon or 5-10 capsules
Pregnant and nursing women: 1 – 2 teaspoon or 10-20 capsules
I am currently making this available to the community for $38 per bottle. It is $44 + shipping if purchased directly through the manufacturers web-site (Green Pasture). It can be picked up here in Crown Heights or shipped. You can order directly through this web-site using your PayPal account or your can simply email us and arrange a pickup or shipping email@example.com.
As you can see in the video we put tinfoil around the bottom of the bottle. This is to catch any drops of FCLO that drip down the sides of the bottle and also to hold the syringe that is used to administer it. One big warning that I must give is to be very careful not to spill it anywhere. We have spilled it on my kids' clothing and we had to throw away that clothing article because it is nearly impossible to get the smell out of it. Also sometimes the oil can cause a slight burning sensation in the throat, which is due to the lactic acid from the fermentation, this goes away quite quickly if you chase it down with something that has fat in it like, milk, or a smoothie (which we like to use with our family).
**I spoke to Rabbi Osdaba at the Crown Heights Beis Din about the Kashrus of this supplement. I told him how it is made and that it has a bitter taste. He told me that it is permissible to take it as a supplement because of its undesirable taste.
